Frequently Asked Questions
What is a chiropractic adjustment?
When a patient complains of pain or limited mobility, the doctor will check the spine and other joints for abnormal joint restrictions. These restrictions can cause pain and dysfunction as well as muscle spasm. The adjustment is a quick movement designed to restore normal mobility, realigning the spine thus increasing function and decreasing pain.
What is that “popping” sound that happens with an adjustment?
That sound is air releasing form the joint space as the joint mobility is restored. Sometimes the sound is very loud and other times there is no sound at all.
Do I have to be “cracked” to get relief with the adjustment?
Every patient is different and every treatment is different. At Living Well Chiropractic, we tailor the treatment to YOU and what you body needs. We offer “non-popping” and “non-twisting” adjustments as well as more traditional chiropractic adjustments.
What other treatments do you offer besides manipulation?
